Reducer
A steel pipe reducer, is a component used in pipelines to reduce line sizes from larger to smaller bore in accordance with the outer diameter, connecting two pipes of different sizes with minimal resistance or impediment to flow.
Steel Forgings can manufacture both concentric and eccentric reducers starting at 10” to 42”. Eccentric reducers are used when it is important to keep one side of the pipe level, typically the bottom wall. Concentric reducers, on the other hand, center the line and are bell shaped. We can make reducers in various wall thicknesses and we can also thru-bore upon request.
Thanks to the high quality of Steel Forgings’ manufacturing process, our carbon steel reducers are exceptionally smooth and provide virtually no impediment to pipeline flow.
All Steel Forgings reducers are made from top-quality steel that meets all standard legal specifications for measures like strength and corrosion resistance.
